Introduction : People want to see God. Philip was a disciple of Jesus, and he asked Jesus to let him see God. The Bible says that God is Spirit, and no one has ever seen God. We cannot see God as a physical image, but we can see God through His love, and that is God´s real image. We can see God at the scene of true love, because God is love.


1. God´s image is love
    - God lives in love    (1Jn 4:7-8)
    1) God appeared through love in Mother Teresa´s life
    2) God appeared through love in Dr. Albert Schweitzer. He spent a lifetime in a village
        of lepers in Lambarene    (1Jn 4:16; 3:18)
    3) God appeared through love and forgiveness in Corrie ten Boom who was an
        evangelist in The Netherlands    (1Jn 4:20; Eph 4:32)

2. God presented His true image through the cross of Jesus    (1Jn 4:9-10)
    1) The love of God cleansed sin, impurity, disease, the curse, and death through His
        son    (Jn 3:16; Ro 5:8; 8:34; Rev 1:5-6)
    2) His love forgave even the enemies who crucified Him on the Cross
        - "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."
        (Lk 23:34; 1Jn 3:1)

3. The attributes of God´s love    (1Jn 4:11-12)
    1) Covered and forgave our faults What is the difference between parents and the
        enemy?     (Ps 103:13; Pr 10:12;1Pe 4:8)
    2) Giving us freedom - Do not become a servant of the devil    (Gal 5:1)
        (Gal 5:13; Jn 8:32; 2Co 3:17; Lk 10:19)
    3) Heals our body and spirit    (Ex 15:26; Ps 103:3-5; 147:3)
    4) Giving is forgiveness, hope, and blessing
        (Ps 16:8-9; Jer 29:11; Dt 28:12-13; Heb 6:14; Mt 11:25)
    5) Giving us eternal heaven    (Jn 11:25; 14:3; 2Co 5:1)


Conclusion : Humankind was created in the image of God, and God is love. We cannot enjoy peace and happiness without receiving the love of God. He is living in the place of giving and receiving love.
